Follow these steps to get started with Hilo Core.
Step 1: Charge your devices
Charge both your Hilo Core Band and Hilo Cuff before starting
Make sure to remove the protective film from the band sensor of Hilo Core Band
You can download the app while your devices are charging.
Step 2: Download the Hilo Core App
Download the Hilo App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
Make sure your device is compatible before installing. Compatible devices are listed in the following article: Does my phone support the Hilo App?
The Hilo Core App is available exclusively through the Apple Store and Google Play, provided the user is registered in the United States of America (USA territory).
Step 3: Create your account
Open the Hilo Core App
Tap Set up my Hilo Core Band
Create an account using:
Email
Apple or Google sign-in
You’ll be asked to:
Accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
Confirm that you understand how Hilo Core works
Step 4: Enter your details
You’ll be asked to provide some personal information, such as:
Date of birth
Height and weight
This information is used to help personalize your experience and provide more relevant insights over time.
Step 5: Verify your email
Check your inbox for a verification email
Tap “Verify your email”
Return to the app to continue setup
If you don’t see the email:
Check your spam folder
Use the “Resend email” option
Step 6: Pair your devices
Follow the instructions in the app to connect your:
Hilo Core Band
Hilo Cuff
Make sure:
Bluetooth is enabled
You follow the in-app steps (not your phone’s Bluetooth settings)
Step 7: Complete calibration
To begin using Hilo Core, you’ll complete a short setup period that includes several cuff measurements over a few days.
During this time:
The band collects data in the background
Full insights and reports become available after this setup is complete
