If you notice skin irritation or a rash where you wear your Hilo Band, we recommend removing the band until your skin feels comfortable again.
If you have a known sensitivity or allergy to any of the materials used in the product, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional. For more information about the materials used in the Hilo Band, see: What materials is the Hilo Band made of?
To help reduce the chance of skin irritation:
Keep the Hilo Band and strap clean by gently wiping them with a soft cloth lightly dampened with water. See: How do I clean the strap and sensor?
Give your skin regular breaks from wearing the band, such as while showering or exercising.
Dry the Hilo Band promptly if it becomes wet.
Avoid wearing the band too tightly against the skin.
Consider removing the band during intense physical activity if you notice discomfort or irritation. See: What should I avoid while wearing my Hilo Band?
If irritation continues or worsens, consult a healthcare professional for further guidance. If you need additional support, please contact us at Support.
