I had a skin rash on my wrist where I usually wear the bracelet; what should I do?

If you notice skin irritation or a rash where you wear your Hilo Band, we recommend removing the band until your skin feels comfortable again.

If you have a known sensitivity or allergy to any of the materials used in the product, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional. For more information about the materials used in the Hilo Band, see: What materials is the Hilo Band made of?

To help reduce the chance of skin irritation:

  • Keep the Hilo Band and strap clean by gently wiping them with a soft cloth lightly dampened with water. See: How do I clean the strap and sensor?

  • Give your skin regular breaks from wearing the band, such as while showering or exercising.

  • Dry the Hilo Band promptly if it becomes wet.

  • Avoid wearing the band too tightly against the skin.

  • Consider removing the band during intense physical activity if you notice discomfort or irritation. See: What should I avoid while wearing my Hilo Band?

If irritation continues or worsens, consult a healthcare professional for further guidance. If you need additional support, please contact us at Support.
