Before troubleshooting, please make sure your phone is compatible with the Hilo App:
Does my phone support the Hilo App?
Also, please ensure the Hilo App is not active on another device with Bluetooth enabled.
To help restore the connection between your phone and Hilo Band, please try the following:
Make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your phone and that your Hilo Band is within 1 meter (3 feet).
On Android devices, ensure Location Permission is enabled for the Hilo App.
In the app, swipe down on the Insights screen to refresh the connection.
Double tap or gently shake the Hilo Band and check whether a green light appears.
If no light appears, the Hilo Band may need charging.
Please place the Hilo Band on the charger and confirm whether the charging light appears.
While on the charger, the Hilo Band will reset automatically, which may help restore the connection.
Please check:
Does the Hilo Band connect only while on the charger?
Or does it also connect after being removed from the charger?
You can also try:
Restarting your phone
Checking whether the charger light is pulsing red
If not, please verify the charger, USB cable, and power source
If the issue continues, please check whether the Hilo Band appears in your phone’s Bluetooth settings.
If the Hilo Band appears in Bluetooth settings:
Remove it from Bluetooth settings by selecting “Forget This Device”
Open the Hilo App
In the Measure screen, tap the 3 dots next to the Hilo Band and select “Unpair”
Close the app completely
Update the Hilo App to the latest version
Place the Hilo Band on the charger
If already charging, lift and reposition it to trigger a reset
Make sure there are no other Hilo Bands charging nearby
Open the Hilo App again
From the Measure screen, select “Add New Bracelet”
On Android, accept the Location Permission request
Keep the Hilo Band on the charger during pairing
The app should then guide you through pairing the Hilo Band again as a new device.
If the Hilo Band does not appear in Bluetooth settings, please confirm:
Bluetooth is enabled
Location Permission is enabled on Android
